A Bronze Age barrow lies to the east of Stonea Camp, this was excavated by Tim Potter of the British Museum in 1961.

It contained a cremation burial of a high status female, the grave goods included 17 Jet and 11 amber beads from the Baltic, as well as pottery and flint objects. These are all at the British Museum today. The barrow also contained a secondary cremation of a 20+year old man.
